A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs for winning the GHSA Class1
A Division II State Softball Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs has established and maintained3
a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and 4
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary leadership made this team5
a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its extraordinary6
2024 campaign, the team triumphed in a hard-fought battle to be come the GHSA Class A7
Division II State Softball Champions; and8
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of MVP Jaden Benefield and her superb pitching9
ability are a clear display of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity10
of purpose and spirit among each member of the team as well as the astute direction of head11
coach Ben Davis; and12
WHEREAS, the team performed with precision during the season an d earned its13
well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of its play,14
and the stiff competition it presented to its opponents; and15

WHEREAS, this accomplished team achieved a remarkable 24-4 record and earned Lanier16
County its first softball championship ever.17
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that18
the members of this body congratulate the Lanier County High Sc hool Lady Bulldogs on19
their victory at the GHSA Class A Division II State Softball Championship and extend best20
wishes for their continued success.21
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized22
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the23
Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs.24
