A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lanier County High School baseball team for winning the GHSA Class1
A Division II State Baseball Championship; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School baseball team has established and maintained3
a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and4
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary leadership made this team5
a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its extraordinary6
2024 campaign, the team triumphed in a hard-fought battle to be come the GHSA Class A7
Division II State Baseball Champions; and8
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding9
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the10
team; its superb batting and fielding talents; and the astute d irection of head coach John11
White; and12
WHEREAS, Grant Gano, the team's MVP, excelled in play by hittin g a grand slam in13
overtime, supported by his team who performed with precision th roughout the season and14

earned their well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality15
of their play, and the stiff competition they presented to their opponents; and 16
WHEREAS, this accomplished team achieved a remarkable 32-10 rec ord and represented17
Lanier County with pride and determination.18
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that19
the members of this body congratulate the Lanier County High School baseball team on its20
victory at the GHSA Class A Division II State Baseball Champion ship and extend best21
wishes for continued success.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the24
Lanier County High School baseball team.25
