The Sunshine House; 50th anniversary; recognize ## Text 25 LC 112 3464 House Resolution 708 By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Clark of the 108th, Beckles of the 96th, and Okoye of the 102nd A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending The Sunshine House on its 50th anniv ersary; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, The Sunshine House has provided high-quality early childhood education and3 care for 50 years, positively impacting the lives of more than 300,000 children since its4 founding in 1975; and5 WHEREAS, The Sunshine House was founded by Dennis and Roseann Drew, who, as new6 parents in 1974, sought to create an early learning environment that met the highest standards7 of care and education for their daughter, leading to the establ ishment of Small World8 Preschool, which later became The Sunshine House; and9 WHEREAS, what began as a single in-home preschool has grown int o one of the largest10 early education and childcare providers in the nation, now operating 119 schools across six11 states with seven more planned for the future; and12 WHEREAS, The Sunshine House nurtures and educates more than 12, 000 children daily13 through the dedication of over 1,800 educators who provide a safe, engaging, and enriching14 environment for early learning; and15 H.
