Maxwell, Scott; occasion of his retirement; commend ## Text 25 LC 112 3491 House Resolution 718 By: Representatives Greene of the 154th, Hawkins of the 27th, Taylor of the 173rd, Efstration of the 104th, Powell of the 33rd, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Scott Maxwell on the occasion of his retirement; and for other1 purposes.2 WHEREAS, Scott Maxwell has rendered decades of exceptional serv ice across the public3 and private sectors, using his extensive media and legislative experience, strategic insight,4 and relationships with decision-makers at all levels of government to influence public policy5 and support clients throughout Georgia and beyond; and6 WHEREAS, he is the founding principal of Mathews & Maxwell Inc. , a respected7 governmental affairs consulting firm he co-founded in 1997 that has twice been named the8 most effective small governmental affairs firm in Georgia by James Magazine; and9 WHEREAS, during his tenure at Mathews & Maxwell, he has led the development of short-10 and long-term strategies to help clients achieve success in leg islative, procurement, and11 regulatory matters, representing sectors such as agribusiness, construction, healthcare,12 manufacturing, transportation, and state procurement; and13 WHEREAS, his consulting work has involved drafting policy paper s, managing issue14 education campaigns, testifying before legislative committees, monitoring the work of15 H.
