A RESOLUTION
Commending Ariel Shaw and Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc. upon their 20251
Small Business Conference: Equip, Inform, Transform; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Ariel Shaw, MBA, and Southern Crescent Women In Busine ss Inc., a3
conglomerate of women-owned businesses and women in business, have worked to change4
the economic landscape in the Southern Crescent region for women-owned businesses and5
small businesses; and6
WHEREAS, the organization continues to seek to level the econom ic playing field by7
assisting women-owned and small businesses, and through its aff iliate, Southern Crescent8
Men In Business, it uses its platform to help strengthen and bu ild key relationships with9
governmental agencies, corporate entities, and the private sector; and10
WHEREAS, the Southern Crescent 2025 Women In Business Conference: Equip, Inform,11
Transform offers small businesses and solopreneurs an opportuni ty to learn from experts,12
connect with like-minded individuals, and take their careers to the next level with meaningful13
panels such as the Legacy Panel, Access to Capital Panel, Finte ch & AI Panel, Supplier14
Diversity Panel, and more; and15

WHEREAS, Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc., although operating at a regional16
level, is hosting this impactful conference within the limits of Henry County and the City of17
Stockbridge; and18
WHEREAS, Visionary and Founder Ariel Shaw is hosting this small business and women's19
conference filled with insightful panels, workshops, and networking opportunities; and20
WHEREAS, Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc. continues the work to provide21
foundational support for women-owned businesses and women in business in the Southern22
Crescent region while also opening opportunities for other dynamic women and men.23
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that24
the members of this body commend Ariel Shaw and Southern Crescent Women In Business25
Inc. upon the grand occasion of the 2025 Small Business Confere nce: Equip, Inform,26
Transform as well as extend best wishes for success.27
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized28
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution avai lable for distribution to29
Southern Crescent Women In Business Inc. and Ariel Shaw.30
