## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution formally congratulates the Bleckley County High School boys' cross country team for winning the 2024 Class 1A/Division 1 State Cross Country Championship.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution from the Georgia House of Representatives honors the Bleckley County High School boys' cross country team for capturing the 2024 Class 1A/Division 1 State Cross Country Championship, the team's third state title since 2015. The text praises the team's teamwork, resilience, and academic character, and names four All-State runners: Caleb Darsey, Jack Harrell, Harrison Rogers, and Logan Camp, along with Head Coach Shelly Cranford.
The resolution does not change any Georgia law. It simply states that the House of Representatives congratulates the team and wishes them continued success, and it directs the Clerk of the House to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to the team.

### What it does

- Formally congratulates the Bleckley County High School boys' cross country team on the House of Representatives' behalf for its 2024 state championship win.
- Names four specific All-State runners and the head coach for individual recognition within the resolution text.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to the team.

### Who it affects

The Bleckley County High School boys' cross country team, its head coach Shelly Cranford, and the named student athletes Caleb Darsey, Jack Harrell, Harrison Rogers, and Logan Camp are the direct subjects of this honorary resolution.

### Why it matters

This is a ceremonial resolution rather than a law, so it creates no new rights, funding, or obligations. Its practical effect is a formal, printed statement of recognition from the state legislature that the team and school can keep as an official commendation.

### Key provisions

- The resolution recites the team's 2024 season achievements, including its third state championship since 2015 and four All-State runner finishes.
- The resolving clause has the House of Representatives congratulate the team and wish it continued success.
- A further resolving clause directs the Clerk of the House to make a copy available for distribution to the team.
