By: Representatives Smith of the 138th and Rice of the 139th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Joey Gibbs; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, a senior at Harris County High School, Joey Gibbs has competed in the
SkillsUSA plumbing competition for four years and has consistently placed in the top 10 at
nationals each year; and
WHEREAS, as testament to his natural ability and remarkable proficiency in the trade, Joey
won his first competition at just 14 years old and placed first in two out of his last three state
competitions; and
WHEREAS, his exemplary work with SkillsUSA has earned him several job offers
throughout the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the achievements of the young man be
appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize and commend Joey Gibbs for his dedication to the
plumbing trade and extend sincere best wishes for future success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Joey
Gibbs.
