A RESOLUTION
Commending the House interns for the 2025 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Georgia Legislative Internship Program is one of the nation's oldest educational internships to focus on the state legislative process; and
WHEREAS, the internship program is a cooperative venture between the General Assembly of Georgia and institutions of higher learning in Georgia, and it provides a select group of students with in-depth exposure to the House of Representatives and the Senate by assigning them positions with key standing committees and legislative leaders; and
WHEREAS, the students selected for the House Legislative Internship Program represent some of the best and the brightest college students in this state who share a genuine interest in the law making process and a potential commitment to public service; and
WHEREAS, participants in this outstanding program are students from the University of Georgia, Clayton State University, University of North Georgia, Georgia State University, Georgia Southern University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia Gwinnett College, University of West Georgia, Kennesaw State University, Toccoa Falls College, and College of Coastal Georgia; and
WHEREAS, the unique experience of participating as a House intern has undoubtedly enriched the academic study these college students have completed; and
WHEREAS, the members of the standing committees and the legislative leaders who greatly benefit from the service of these interns salute each of these students on a job well done: Wally Stover, Butler Matthews, Christopher Hale, Loren Lyles, Wil Crawford, Daniel Alexander, Francis Millen, Kyleigh Cook, Zahrya Grimes, Elisa Heinzelmann, Noah Rainwater, Jaeda Ray, Jaslin Stanley, Luke Starling, Graham Stewart, Diamond Brooks, Zayne Dabbas, Dan Ngo, Elizabeth Giron-Hernandez, Ryan Bodell, Christian Villarreal, Sam Byers, Isaiah Campbell, Kiara Johnson, Bethany Jones, Anna Stephen, Brenton Sykes, Kristen Tran, Gyimah Andrew, Hannah Creedon, Terrence Fernanders, Amarachi Nnabue, and Austin Gilbert.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the House interns for the 2025 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia on their superb performance and extend the most sincere best wishes for success in their future pursuits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to each of the interns named herein.
