## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution formally commends Jaide Coleman, salutatorian of Salem High School's Class of 2025, for her academic achievements.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial honor passed by the Georgia House of Representatives. It recognizes Jaide Coleman, who graduated as salutatorian of Salem High School's Class of 2025, for her academic performance and extracurricular involvement.
The resolution does not change any Georgia law. It simply states the House's praise for Coleman's achievements, including her membership in the Beta Club, National Honor Society, Student Government Association, Yearbook, FBLA, and FCCLA, and directs the Clerk of the House to prepare a copy for her.

### What it does

- Formally commends Jaide Coleman for earning the salutatorian distinction at Salem High School's Class of 2025.
- States the House's recognition of her membership in several school organizations, including Beta Club and National Honor Society.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to Jaide Coleman.
- Creates no new law, funding, or regulatory requirement; it is a ceremonial statement only.

### Who it affects

The resolution names only Jaide Coleman, a graduating senior at Salem High School, and does not impose obligations on any other group, agency, or business.

### Why it matters

This resolution has no legal or practical effect on Georgians beyond providing a formal, public acknowledgment of one student's academic accomplishments, similar to many ceremonial resolutions the General Assembly regularly passes.

### Key provisions

- The whereas clauses describe Coleman's academic record and involvement in Beta Club, National Honor Society, Student Government Association, Yearbook, FBLA, and FCCLA.
- The resolving clause has the House of Representatives commend Coleman for her scholastic endeavors and wish her continued success.
- A further resolving clause directs the Clerk of the House to make a copy available for distribution to Coleman.
