By: Representatives Moore of the 91st, Taylor of the 92nd, and Carter of the 93rd
A RESOLUTION
Commending Delano Page, Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology's Class1
of 2025 valedictorian; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3
important objective of the General Assembly; and4
WHEREAS, Delano Page has shown by academic accomplishment that the pursuit and5
attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this state; and6
WHEREAS, this remarkable senior has earned distinction through his notable achievements7
as a student at Rockdal Magnet School for Science and Technology where he is a member8
of the Rockdale Magnet Math Team, Rockdale Peer Tutors, Rockdal e Student Council,9
ScholarsU, the Varsity Tennis team, Georgia Youth Justice Coali tion, National Coalition10
Against Censorship, Witness to Mass Incarceration, Prison Mathe matics Program,11
Generation Human Rights, and Statistics Without Borders; and12
WHEREAS, he has been selected as valedictorian by earning exemplary grades in the most13
challenging academic courses while maintaining a substantial ex tracurricular schedule14
throughout his academic career; and15

WHEREAS, this achievement is the culmination of Delano Page's h ard work and16
determination, and he deserves much credit for his energy and d edication to academic17
excellence; and 18
WHEREAS, he is an outstanding representative of the young peopl e of this state and it is19
only fitting and proper that he be recognized for his many accomplishments.20
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that21
the members of this body heartily commend Delano Page for his s pectacular scholastic22
endeavors and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to25
Delano Page.26
