A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Valerie King; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and across all fields and trades; and

WHEREAS, Valerie King's contributions to the community reflect the core values of Women's History Month; and

WHEREAS, Valerie is a lifelong caregiver, devoted leader, and woman of deep faith whose career and ministry have touched countless lives over the course of five decades; and

WHEREAS, with nearly 50 years of experience as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, Valerie has stood at the front lines of life's most sacred beginnings-helping usher thousands of babies into the world with skill, compassion, and grace; and

WHEREAS, her gentle hands and steady presence earned her the trust and admiration of colleagues, patients, and families alike; and

WHEREAS, even after retiring from active nursing, Valerie continued to walk in her calling to care for others by joining the Student Health Center team at Clark Atlanta University, where she brought wisdom, warmth, and encouragement to a new generation of students navigating the challenges of college life and young adulthood; and

WHEREAS, she has faithfully served in church ministries in both California and Georgia, contributing her gifts in various capacities over the years; and

WHEREAS, whether coordinating events, managing records, or lending a listening ear, Valerie leads with a servant's heart and a quiet strength that uplifts everyone around her; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Valerie King for her unwavering dedication to her community and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Valerie King.
