A RESOLUTION
Commending the 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta and recognizing March 28, 2025,1
as Community Wellness Day at the Capitol; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, March 28, 2025, is the inaugural Community Wellness Da y hosted by the3
Economic Development of the 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta; and4
WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta's mission is to empower 5,0005
community members, with a focus on 500 Black Men, to take contr ol of their health and6
wellness through comprehensive screenings, education, and resou rces, while fostering a7
culture of prevention, early detection, and community support; and8
WHEREAS, Community Wellness Day will create an environment that saves lives through9
early detection and prevention; empowers families by providing education, resources, and10
support; fosters community engagement through partnerships with local businesses,11
organizations, and healthcare providers; promotes health equali ty by addressing health12
disparities and ensuring equal access to healthcare services, e ducation, and resources; and13
inspires positive change by encouraging individuals to adopt healthy lifestyles; and14

WHEREAS, the health and well-being of Georgia's citizens are fu ndamental to building15
stronger and more resilient communities; and16
WHEREAS, the 100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta have contributed innumerably to the17
equity, empowerment, and innovation of wellness, making it abundantly fitting and proper18
that it is appropriately honored. 19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20
the members of this body commend the 100 Black Men of South Met ro Atlanta for its21
outstanding contributions to the health and wellness of citizens of the State of Georgia and22
recognize March 28, 2025, as Community Wellness Day at the Capitol.23
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized24
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the25
100 Black Men of South Metro Atlanta.26
