A RESOLUTION
Recognizing April 2025 as Financial Literacy Month and commending Dr. Jacqueline
Mohair, Dr. Sonya Hamm, and the Hamm Associates Financial Group; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, financial literacy is a fundamental skill that empowers individuals to make
informed and effective decisions regarding their personal finances, contributing to their
economic security and well-being; and
WHEREAS, Financial Literacy Month, observed annually in April, seeks to raise awareness
about the importance of financial education and to encourage individuals and families to
establish and maintain sound financial habits; and
WHEREAS, the key themes of Financial Literacy Month—budgeting, debt management,
credit awareness, and financial planning—are essential for achieving financial stability and
fostering long-term prosperity; and
WHEREAS, the State of Georgia recognizes the outstanding contributions of Dr. Jacqueline
Mohair of Trinity International University of Ambassadors, Dr. Sonya Hamm, and the
Hamm Associates Financial Group, whose dedicated efforts have inspired and equipped
individuals with the tools and knowledge to manage their finances effectively and embrace
financial empowerment; and
WHEREAS, through her leadership at Trinity International University of Ambassadors and
various educational initiatives, Dr. Jacqueline Mohair has championed the importance of
financial literacy as a cornerstone of personal and professional success; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Sonya Hamm and the Hamm Associates Financial Group have made
significant strides in advancing financial education through tailored workshops, strategic
planning services, and innovative programs designed to empower individuals, families, and
businesses across Georgia; and
WHEREAS, their collective work has not only elevated the financial awareness of
individuals but also strengthened communities by promoting sustainable financial habits and
practices; and
WHEREAS, financial literacy is a critical factor in reducing financial stress, fostering
economic opportunity, and supporting the development of financially resilient communities
across Georgia and beyond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that
the members of this body recognize April 2025 as Financial Literacy Month in the State of
Georgia and encourage all residents to participate in financial literacy programs, workshops,
and events to enhance their financial knowledge and skills.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body commend Dr. Jacqueline
Mohair, Dr. Sonya Hamm, and the Hamm Associates Financial Group for their exceptional
leadership in financial literacy and their unwavering dedication to equipping individuals with
the resources to achieve financial independence.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Dr.
Jacqueline Mohair, Dr. Sonya Hamm, and the Hamm Associates Financial Group.
