## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A House resolution honors the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team for going undefeated and winning the 2024 GHSA 6A Volleyball State Championship, the school's third title.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial honor from the Georgia House of Representatives, not a change to state law. It recognizes the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team for completing the 2024 season with a perfect 36-0 record and winning the GHSA 6A Volleyball State Championship, the third such title in the school's history and a repeat of the prior year's win.
The resolution praises the team's coaches, Marshall King and Grace Fossier, along with the players' teamwork, offense, defense, and dedication. It directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare an official copy of the resolution for the team, giving them a formal keepsake of the recognition. It has no regulatory or funding effect.

### What it does

- Formally commends the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team for its undefeated 2024 season and GHSA 6A state championship win.
- States the team finished the season with a 36-0 record and won its third volleyball state title.
- Credits Head Coaches Marshall King and Grace Fossier for leading the team.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to the team.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team, its players, and its Head Coaches Marshall King and Grace Fossier. It also involves the Clerk of the House of Representatives, who must prepare the commemorative copy.

### Why it matters

The resolution carries no legal or financial effect on Georgians generally. Its practical impact is symbolic: it gives the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team official recognition in the Georgia House of Representatives and a keepsake document marking their championship season.

### Key provisions

- The preamble (whereas clauses) recounts the team's undefeated 36-0 season and its third state volleyball championship in school history.
- The resolved clause has the House of Representatives formally commend the team and wish them continued success.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House to produce a copy of the resolution for the team.
