A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Kilo Ali for his outstanding contributions to Atlanta's musical sound, culture, and his lasting impact on the global music industry; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Andrell D. Rogers, known professionally as Kilo Ali, is a pioneering rapper, songwriter, and artist whose groundbreaking contributions to Atlanta's hip-hop and bass music scene have left an indelible mark on the city's culture; and
WHEREAS, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kilo Ali emerged as one of the defining voices of Southern hip-hop, blending high-energy beats, innovative production, and charismatic lyricism to create a signature sound that helped establish Atlanta as a dominant force in the music industry; and
WHEREAS, he played a pivotal role in the development of Atlanta bass music, a subgenre characterized by its infectious rhythms and club-oriented appeal, influencing generations of artists and producers who followed in his footsteps; and
WHEREAS, his debut album, America Has a Problem, introduced his unique style and social commentary, while subsequent releases such as Organized Bass and Get This Party Started solidified his reputation as a trailblazer in the Southern hip-hop movement; and
WHEREAS, Kilo Ali's music, including hits such as "Cocaine" (America Has a Problem), "Show Me Love," and "Love in Ya Mouth," became anthems of the Atlanta music scene, garnering widespread popularity and establishing him as a leading figure in the industry; and
WHEREAS, he worked with and influenced some of Atlanta's most celebrated artists and producers, including Lil Jon, DJ Taz, and the broader Southern hip-hop and crunk movements, paving the way for Atlanta's dominance in the global rap scene; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this body recognize the exceptional achievements of Kilo Ali and extend gratitude for his contributions to the State of Georgia's musical heritage and cultural influence worldwide.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Kilo Ali for his outstanding contributions to music and culture and express their sincere appreciation for his lasting influence on the State of Georgia and beyond.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Kilo Ali.
