Drew Public Charter School varsit y boys golf team for1 winning the State Golfing Championship; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Charles R. Drew Public Charter School varsity boys golf team has3 established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character4 and academics; and5 WHEREAS, this superlative team has all Black players and an all -Black coaching staff,6 making them the first all-Black team, and first Atlatna Public Schools Team, to win a State7 Golf Championship in Georgia; and8 WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team9 a spectacular one to observe throughout the season; and10 WHEREAS, the team brought special recognition to its school y b eating the two-time11 defending state champions by more than 15 strokes; and12 H.
