A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Mikayla Arciaga; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize2
the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and ac ross all fields and trades;3
and4
WHEREAS, Mikayla Arciaga's contributions to the community refle ct the core values of5
Women's History Month; and6
WHEREAS, Mikayla is IDRA's Georgia advocacy director, working t o connect parents,7
students, and community members with the resources needed to en gage in the state8
policymaking process; and9
WHEREAS, prior to her service with IDRA, Mikayla spent five years as a high school math10
teacher and swim coach; and11
WHEREAS, she leverages her experiences as a teacher, coach, and mentor of young people12
to advocate for more diverse and inverse classrooms, that are safe and welcoming for every13
child and family; and14

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng contributions of this15
remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.16
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that17
the members of this body recognize and commend Mikayla Arciaga for her unwavering18
dedication to her community and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and19
happiness.20
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized21
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution ava ilable for distribution to22
Mikayla Arciaga.23
