A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Pamela Brown; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and across all fields and trades; and

WHEREAS, Pamela Brown's contributions to the community reflect the core values of Women's History Month; and

WHEREAS, Pam is an exemplary Board Of Education member, currently serving in her 3rd term; and

WHEREAS, she is also the Georgia School Boards Association District IV Director, representing the Rockdale County, Decatur City Schools, DeKalb County, and Newton County Schools districts; and

WHEREAS, a well-respected leader in the Rockdale community, Pam is known for her commitment to education, community service, and advocacy; and

WHEREAS, she actively engages in legislative efforts and supports various community causes, is a member of the Conyers-Rockdale Economic Development Council, and is a past member on the Board of Governors of the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, she is a Senior Transmission Analyst for Southern Company, a 2010 graduate of Leadership Rockdale, and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Pamela Brown for her unwavering dedication to her community and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Pamela Brown.
