91st, and Kendrick of the 95th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Andre Anthony Cross Jr.; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Andre Anthony Cross Jr. is a graduating senior at Geor gia Gwinnett College2
whose journey is marked by resilience, transformation, and a deep commitment to growth;3
and4
WHEREAS, a first-generation American and the son of a Liberian immigrant, Andre has5
consistently defied the odds to achieve academic and personal success; and6
WHEREAS, beginning his undergraduate career as a student-athlete, Andre faced significant7
challenges after a sports injury and academic struggles that threatened his future; and8
WHEREAS, refusing to be defined by setbacks, he transferred to Georgia Gwinnett College9
for a fresh start where he went on to make the Dean’s List, serve as a Student Ambassador,10
and intern with the Georgia House of Representatives; and11
WHEREAS, beyond his academic success, Andre is known for his leadership, humility, and12
dedication to public service; and13

WHEREAS, Andre’s story is a testament to perseverance, second chances, and the power of14
education to unlock potential; his character, achievements, and impact have left a lasting15
impression on the GGC community, and he stands as a proud representative of the Class of16

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstandi ng achievements of this18
exemplary Georgian are appropriately honored.19
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that20
the members of this body recognize and commend Andre Anthony Cr oss Jr. and extend21
sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and success.22
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized23
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Andre24
Anthony Cross Jr.25
