## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia House resolution commends the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association for winning top honors at the 2025 Georgia Cattlemen's Association Convention.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial statement from the Georgia House of Representatives recognizing the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association. The resolution notes that the group won three awards at the 2025 Georgia Cattlemen's Association Convention: the Chapter of the Year Award, the Highest Membership Percentage Award, and the 3rd Quarter '24 Top Membership Recruiter Award. It credits the association, led by President Penny Bowie, with becoming the largest and fastest-growing of Georgia's 159 local cattlemen's chapters.
The resolution does not change any Georgia law. It formally commends the association and directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to the group as a keepsake.

### What it does

- Formally recognizes and commends the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association for winning three awards at the 2025 Georgia Cattlemen's Association Convention.
- States the association is the largest, fastest-growing, and most active of Georgia's 159 local cattlemen's chapters under President Penny Bowie.
- Directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to the association.
- Extends the House's best wishes for the association's continued success, without creating any new law, funding, or regulation.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association and its president, Penny Bowie. It has no legal effect on any other group, agency, or member of the public.

### Why it matters

This is a ceremonial honor rather than a policy change, so it does not alter any Georgia law, create funding, or impose requirements. Its practical effect is limited to a formal, printed commendation the association can keep as recognition of its convention awards.

### Key provisions

- The whereas clauses list the association's three convention awards and the prizes attached to them, including a mobile chute and fencing supplies.
- The resolved clause formally commends the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association for its performance at the 2025 convention and wishes it continued success.
- A further resolved clause directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to produce a copy of the resolution for distribution to the association.
