Blessett, Algebra; honor ## Text 25 LC 129 0482 House Resolution 954 By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, Berry of the 56th, Reese of the 140th, Schofield of the 63rd, Scott of the 76th, and others A RESOLUTION Honoring Algebra Blessett; and for other purposes. 1 WHEREAS, born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, R&B artist Algebra Blessett has a powerful2 legacy and generational connection to the city; and3 WHEREAS, a fifth generation Atlantan, Algebra attended Fulton C ounty Schools for her4 primary and secondary education, then, with a music scholarship , attended Morris Brown5 College; and6 WHEREAS, Algebra cultivated her talents as well as developed her singing and song writing7 skill alongside superproducers Dallas Austin and Bryan-Michael Cox; and8 WHEREAS, her debut album, Purpose, spent 14 weeks on the acclaimed Billboard9 R&B/Hip-Hop album chart; and10 WHEREAS, active in the Atlanta music community, Algebra is a member of The Recording11 Academy Chapter, the Atlanta Chapter of ASCAP, and continues to connect to musicians12 and performers internationally; and13 H.
