Richardson, Jerrica; commend ## Text 25 LC 129 0501 House Resolution 970 By: Representatives Cummings of the 39 th, Campbell of the 35 th, Wilkerson of the 38 th, McQueen of the 61st, Sanchez of the 42nd, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Jerrica Richardson; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, Jerrica Richardson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the2 vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare3 of the citizens of Georgia; and4 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,5 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced6 dramatically by her superlative service with the Cobb County Board of Commissioners; and7 WHEREAS, in 2020, she made history when she was the first African American elected to8 serve District 2 on the Cobb County Board of Commissioners; and9 WHEREAS, Jerrica served with honor and distinction with the Cob b County Board of10 Commissioners until she was targeted politically and drawn out of her district prior to the11 completion of her term; and12 H.
