A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Jackie Trim on the grand occasion of his retirement; and for1
other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Jackie Trim has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital3
role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the4
citizens of Georgia; and5
WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,6
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced7
dramatically by his superlative service as Chairman of the Tattnall County Commissioners;8
and9
WHEREAS, he served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and l iberty with the United10
States Marine Corps, valiantly and courageously protecting his fellow Americans during the11
Vietnam War, where he was wounded in combat twice; and 12
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high13
ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom14

which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved15
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and16
WHEREAS, in 2019, while bravely fighting a melanoma that had spread to his liver, lungs,17
and chest wall, he never missed a commissioners' meeting; and 18
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20
WHEREAS, Jackie has served with honor and distinction in Tattnall County, and his vision21
and unyielding commitment to his community will be sorely missed upon the occasion of his22
retirement; and23
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that26
the members of this body recognize and commend Jackie Trim for his efficient, effective,27
unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia ; congratulate him upon the28
grand occasion of his retirement; and extend the most sincere b est wishes for continued29
health and happiness.30
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized31
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jackie32
Trim.33
