Senators Jones II of the 22nd, Jackson of the 41st, and Parent of the 44th offered the
following amendment #1:

Amend the Senate Committee on Education and Youth substitute to SB 1 (LC 49 2184S) by
inserting after line 131 the following:
<ins>(6) The provisions of this subsection shall not apply to a student who identifies as a
transgender female and who has not undergone endogenous, or naturally occurring, male
puberty due to the clinically supervised use of puberty-blocking medication at or before
the onset of puberty, as evidenced by an affidavit from such student's licensed healthcare
provider confirming the administration of such treatment and its effectiveness in
preventing the physiological changes associated with male puberty.
