Not legal advice. version: Floor Amend 1 AM 61 0005 version_id: amendment:2025-2026/sb120/235699@235699 --- # Floor Amend 1 AM 61 0005 to SB 120 MOOT Senators McLaurin of the 14th and Jones II of the 22nd offered the following amendment #1: Amend the Senate Committee on Higher Education substitute to SB 120 (LC 61 0201S) by inserting after line 39 the following: (b.1) Nothing in subsection (b) of this Code section shall be construed to prohibit a local education agency or postsecondary institution from promoting as an official position that: (1) Evolutionary biology is a scientific fact; (2) Slavery was the primary or major contributing cause of the American Civil War; or (3) The Holocaust occurred.
