# Floor Amend 1 AM 47 0178 to SB 230

LOST
Senators James of the 28th, Jones II of the 22nd, Jackson of the 41st, and Parent of the 44th
offered the following amendment #1:
Amend the Senate Committee on Insurance and Labor substitute to SB 230 (LC 46 1447S)
by inserting after "notice;" on line 3 the following:
to amend Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 44 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated,
relating to landlord and tenant in general, so as to repeal Code Section 44-7-19, relating to
restrictions on rent regulation by local governments;
By inserting after line 39 the following:
Article 1 of Chapter 7 of Title 44 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to
landlord and tenant in general, is amended by repealing Code Section 44-7-19, relating to
restrictions on rent regulation by local governments, and designating said Code section as
reserved.
