A BILL TO BE ENTITLED

AN ACT

To amend Code Section 16-11-130 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to exemptions from Code Sections 16-11-126 through 16-11-127.2, so as to provide an exception to certain Code sections regarding the carry of weapons for persons who have weapons carry licenses; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:

SECTION 1.

Code Section 16-11-130 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to exemptions from Code Sections 16-11-126 through 16-11-127.2, is amended by revising paragraphs (15) and (16) of subsection (a) and by adding a new paragraph to read as follows: "(15) Clerks of the superior courts; and

(16) Constables employed by a magistrate court of this state; and

(17) Individuals who qualify for, have been issued, and are in possession of a current and valid weapons carry license issued pursuant to Code Section 16-11-129."

SECTION 2.

All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.
