# Floor Amend 2 to SB 68

Senators Islam Parkes of the 7th, Parent of the 44th, and Jones II of the 22nd offered the
following amendment #2:
Amend the Senate Committee on Judiciary substitute to SB 68 (LC 49 2233-ECS):
by inserting after line 414 the following:
Chapter 1 of Title 33 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general
provisions relative to insurance, is amended by adding a new Code section to read as follows:
“33-1-28.
(a) Effective July 1, 2025, all insurance premium increases shall not exceed the rate of
change in the Consumer Price Index as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the
United States Department of Labor.
Section 10
By renumbering Section 10 as Section 11.
