A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the 52nd Strong Family Reunion; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Strong Family is celebrating its 52nd Family Reunion in Conyers, Georgia, on Thursday, July 16, through Sunday, July 19, 2026; and

WHEREAS, Haywood and Lula Strong resided in Newton County, Georgia, in the early 1900s, where they settled in the Alma Community in Covington and together had 12 children; and

WHEREAS, the descendants of Haywood and Lula gather every two years at reunions to honor their heritage and create new and lasting memories for the future, a tradition rooted in faith, love, resilience, hard work, and commitment; and

WHEREAS, from the humble beginnings of Haywood, a farmer, and Lulu, a housewife and field worker, their family lineage spans eight generations of professionals, college graduates, military officers, and business owners; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper to recognize the enduring example of family commitment, unity, and tradition represented by the 52nd Strong Family Reunion.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize the 52nd Strong Family Reunion and extend sincere best wishes for many more reunions in years to come.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Strong Family.
