WHEREAS, Jaylan King began his exemplary broadcasting career at PMB Broadcasting, where he developed his skills from the ground up and established a strong foundation in radio and media production; and WHEREAS, over the course of more than 15 years behind the mic, he has contributed to the growth and success of multiple stations, including helping to build 106.9 Rocks and Classic Hip Hop 106.5, where he took on his first overnight shift; and WHEREAS, through his current role as the afternoon drive announcer on WBFA FM 98.3, Jaylan King has become a recognizable and trusted voice in Columbus, Georgia, engaging audiences through his dynamic presence and connection with listeners; and WHEREAS, his excellence in broadcasting has been recognized through the African American Broadcaster Radio Legends Award, becoming the youngest recipient in the award's history; and WHEREAS, in addition to his work on air, he has demonstrated skill as an audio producer, author, songwriter, and music producer, contributing to the broader media and entertainment landscape through both creative and technical expertise; and WHEREAS, Jaylan King further serves as the founder of Where It Comes From LLC, a multimedia production and marketing company that supports brand development and content creation; and WHEREAS, he continues to advance his professional knowledge by pursuing studies in Entertainment Business at SAE Institute Atlanta, further strengthening his expertise within the industry; and WHEREAS, through his sustained contributions to broadcasting, media, and entrepreneurship, Jaylan King has established himself as a respected professional whose work continues to influence and elevate the field. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Jaylan King for his achievements in broadcasting and media as well as extend their best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jaylan King.
