## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Senate resolution formally honors Senator Emanuel Jones of Georgia's 10th Senate District for his years of service and career accomplishments, with no changes to state law.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial honor from the Georgia Senate recognizing Senator Emanuel Jones, who has represented the 10th Senate District, covering Southwest DeKalb and Henry County, since 2004. It recounts his committee leadership in the Senate, his education and military service, his business career, and various awards and community service roles.
The resolution does not change any Georgia law, create programs, or spend state money. It simply states the Senate's appreciation for Jones's service and directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare a copy of the resolution for him.

### What it does

- Formally commends Senator Emanuel Jones for his service representing the 10th Senate District since 2004.
- Recites his Senate committee roles, education, military service, business career, and community involvement as grounds for recognition.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to Senator Jones.
- Does not alter any Georgia statute, create any program, or authorize any spending.

### Who it affects
