A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Cynthia Williams; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, through her leadership as the founder of Love From Afar: The Christopher Allen Williams Foundation, Dr. Cynthia Williams has dedicated innumerable hours of her time and energy toward youth advocacy, grief recovery, and community healing across the State of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, this exemplary foundation serves as a platform for young people to receive the tools, resources, and support needed to navigate life's challenges, build positive futures, and make meaningful differences in their communities; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Cynthia Williams will serve as host of the Broken Crayons Still Color Youth Safety & Mental Health Summit on April 25, 2026, an impactful event that will bring together youth, families, educators, and community leaders to address critical issues including mental health awareness, violence prevention, trauma recovery, and youth empowerment; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Cynthia Williams is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Cynthia Williams for her many exceptional contributions on behalf of the youth of this state as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Cynthia Williams.
