Senate Resolution 1065

A RESOLUTION
Recognizing April 19–25, 2026, as National Crime Victim's Rights Week and commending
the victim advocates of the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office for their dedicated
service; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, National Crime Victims' Rights Week is observed annually to promote victims'
rights and honor those who serve them; and
WHEREAS, victim advocates provide critical support, compassion, and guidance to
survivors navigating the aftermath of crime; and
WHEREAS, the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office is served by an exceptional team
of advocates who work tirelessly to ensure victims are treated with dignity, respect, and care;
and
WHEREAS, Director of Victim Services Sirpa Vigdorov, along with advocates Meghan
Abstein, Stephanie Beatty, Chloe Chin, Erika Chukwura, Jazmine Guamine, and Bianca
Lopez, exemplify professionalism, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to justice; and
WHEREAS, these advocates help victims access resources, understand their rights, and find
a path toward healing; and
WHEREAS, their efforts strengthen public trust and enhance the fairness and effectiveness
of the justice system throughout Cobb County; and
WHEREAS, their dedication reflects the highest ideals of public service of community care.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize April 19–25, 2026, as National Crime Victim's Rights Week and commend the
victim advocates of the Cobb County Solicitor General's Office for their outstanding service
and commitment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of this body extend their sincere gratitude
to Sirpa Vigdorov, Meghan Abstein, Stephanie Beatty, Chloe Chin, Erika Chukwura,
Jazmine Guaman, and Bianca Lopez for their invaluable contributions.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the
press.
