Senate Resolution 1069

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Jennifer Boger for her distinguished career in public service and her time in the Georgia State Senate Budget and Evaluation Office; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Jennifer Boger has devoted an extraordinary 35-year career to public service, specializing in budgetary and financial analysis across many governmental institutions; and

WHEREAS, she began her career with the Pennsylvania State Treasury Department as an accounting assistant from 1991 to 1997, establishing her strong foundation in fiscal responsibility and public finance; and

WHEREAS, she continued her service with the Pennsylvania Senate Appropriations Committee as a budget analyst from 2000 to 2010, later advancing to senior budget analyst and continuing her work with the Pennsylvania Independent Fiscal Office; and

WHEREAS, her leadership was further demonstrated in her role as director of budget and financial management with the Pennsylvania Auditor General from 2015 to 2019; and

WHEREAS, she brought her extensive expertise to multiple agencies, including the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue and the Administrative Offices of Pennsylvania Courts, before joining the Georgia State Senate Budget and Evaluation Office in 2023 as a principal program analyst; and

WHEREAS, throughout her tenure with the Georgia State Senate, Jennifer Boger has built strong and lasting relationships with members of the Senate, leadership, and colleagues, earning trust and respect through her professionalism and dedication; and

WHEREAS, she is a proud graduate of Penn State University, holding both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Public Administration; and

WHEREAS, are greatest joys are her children—Jacob, Kennedy, and Rylan—who have been her constant sources of support and pride throughout her career; and

WHEREAS, known for her sharp analytical skills, quick thinking, and unwavering commitment to government service, she has also become beloved among colleagues for her constant kindness and joyful spirit; and

WHEREAS, as a resident of Atlanta who will soon be departing, her presence and contributions will be deeply missed by all who have had the privilege of working alongside her.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Jennifer Boger for her outstanding career, her invaluable service to the Georgia State Senate, and her lasting impact on colleagues and the legislative process. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jennifer Boger.
