Senate Resolution 1071

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Austin Trott on his 10-year work anniversary with the Georgia State Senate; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Austin Trott has diligently served the Georgia State Senate for a decade, beginning his career in 2015 as a senate aide for Senator Hunter Hill and continuing his tenure with the Senate Budget and Evaluation Office; and

WHEREAS, through years of dedication and expertise, he has served as a principal program analyst and, now, as deputy director since 2023, demonstrating incredible leadership and commitment to the legislative process; and

WHEREAS, a graduate of Georgia State University, he holds both a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in political science and government; and

WHEREAS, throughout his career, Austin Trott has been recognized for his ability to navigate the complexities of legislative sessions, often finding himself at the center of high-pressure situations with professionalism and composure; and

WHEREAS, he values collaboration and has fostered strong working relationships both within the Senate and with budgeting staff across other states, contributing to a collegial and effective work environment; and

WHEREAS, he played a key role in the creation of the apprenticeship program at the Technical College System of Georgia, an accomplishment that reflects his commitment to workforce development and public service innovation; and

WHEREAS, he is a complete joy to work with due to the guidance he offers to others and his ability to remain positive in all circumstances; and

WHEREAS, he is supported by his family, including his wife, Amanda, and their son, Lucas, who are his pride and joy.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Austin Trott for his 10 years of outstanding service to the Georgia State Senate and his continued leadership within the Senate Budget and Evaluation Office. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Austin Trott.
