Senate Resolution 1073

A RESOLUTION

Commending Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo for her outstanding service as a legislative intern; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo of Monroe, Georgia, is a junior at Georgia Gwinnett College majoring in economics with a minor in political science and a concentration in legal studies; and

WHEREAS, as a member of the inaugural cohort of the Georgia Gwinnett College Internship Program at the Georgia State Capitol, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and civic engagement; and

WHEREAS, during her internship, she has contributed to legislative operations by tracking bills, conducting research, performing administrative duties, answering constituent calls, attending committee meetings, and assisting with the collection of bills, resolutions, and signatures; and

WHEREAS, through these responsibilities, she has gained valuable firsthand experience in the legislative process and developed a deeper understanding of how laws are made and implemented to serve communities across the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, her involvement as an Atlanta Legal Aid research volunteer, Feed America volunteer, member of the Law Society, Dean's Student Advisory Board representative, and PCIS ambassador stands as further testament to her dedication to service, leadership, and academic achievement; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary individual be appropriately honored during this special time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo for her service as a legislative intern during the 2026 regular session of the General Assembly of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for future success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Loiwe Mvunga-Marfo.
