Senate Resolution 1099

A RESOLUTION

Commending Ayomide Rahman; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Ayomide Rahman of London, England, is a student at De Montfort University, England, where she is entering her third year working toward a Bachelor of Law; and

WHEREAS, as a junior, she is participating in an exchange year at Georgia College & State University, majoring in political science with a minor in criminal justice; and

WHEREAS, Ayomide Rahman serves as a member of the Georgia Legislative Internship Program at the Georgia State Capitol, where she has gained valuable experience in legislative operations through her service as part of the Office of Senator Kim Jackson; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia Legislative Internship Program is a cooperative venture between the General Assembly of Georgia and institutions of higher learning in Georgia, and it provides a select group of students with in-depth exposure to the House of Representatives and the Senate by assigning them positions with key standing committees and legislative leaders; and

WHEREAS, through her academic pursuits and internship service, Ayomide Rahman has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and the principles of public service; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the service and achievements of this outstanding student be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Ayomide Rahman for her service as a legislative intern during the 2026 regular session of the Georgia General Assembly and extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ayomide Rahman.
