Senate Resolution 1104

A RESOLUTION

Commending Chloe Weems; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Chloe Weems is a student at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia, where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in political science with a minor in anthropology and sociology; and

WHEREAS, she has served as an intern in the Office of Senator Kim Jackson during the 2026 regular session of the Georgia General Assembly, where she has greatly contributed to social media and communications efforts; and

WHEREAS, she has further engaged in civic and community-based work through her participation in the Sophomore Class Atlanta Leadership Experience at Agnes Scott College, including service as a community extern with the International Rescue Committee; and

WHEREAS, Chloe Weems has demonstrated leadership on campus through her involvement with multiple student organizations, including serving as president of HOASC Mortar Board and holding leadership roles with The Silhouette, Agnes Scott College's yearbook organization; and

WHEREAS, her commitment to service is reflected in her continued volunteer work as an assistant teacher at Columbia Elementary School and her participation in community initiatives such as Rise Against Hunger; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the service and achievements of this outstanding individual be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Chloe Weems for her service as a legislative intern during the 2026 regular session of the Georgia General Assembly and extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Chloe Weems.
