## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Senate resolution recognizes Sam Watson for receiving the Engineering and Environmental Services Champion award for his work in long-term and post-acute care in Georgia.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution passed by the Georgia Senate honoring Sam Watson, who received the Engineering and Environmental Services Champion award from the Georgia health care association's Stars in Long Term Care program. The award recognizes outstanding professionals in long-term and post-acute care for their contributions to serving elderly and disabled Georgians.
The resolution does not change any Georgia law. It formally commends Watson for his service and directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to him as a keepsake recognizing the honor.

### What it does

- Formally commends Sam Watson by name for receiving the Engineering and Environmental Services Champion award.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and distribute an official copy of the resolution to Sam Watson.
- Creates no new law, funding, or regulatory change since it is a ceremonial recognition, not a substantive bill.

### Who it affects

This resolution directly names Sam Watson, a long-term and post-acute care professional. It has no broader effect on other Georgians, agencies, or industries since it is a personal honor rather than a policy change.

### Why it matters

The resolution carries no legal or regulatory weight and does not change how any Georgian is treated under state law. Its practical effect is limited to formally honoring one individual's professional achievement with an official Senate document.

### Key provisions
