Senate Resolution 168 By: Senators Kirkpatrick of the 32nd and McLaurin of the 14th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Jeffrey Cohen; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Jeffrey Cohen is retiring from a long career of public accounting and personal financial planning, representing a significant milestone in his distinguished career; and WHEREAS, he began his career in the accounting industry with a degree in accounting and finance from the University of South Florida; and WHEREAS, upon obtaining his accounting degree, Jeffrey Cohen joined the firm of Metcalf, Frix & Company, where he served as tax manager; and WHEREAS, he embarked thereafter on an entrepreneurial journey to co-found Bromberg & Cohen, PC, with his partner, Sam Bromberg, which provided accounting and tax services to individuals in Atlanta and the surrounding areas; and WHEREAS, he embarked on another entrepreneurial journey to co-found Nova Wealth Management Group LLC, providing personal financial planning to individuals in Atlanta and the surrounding areas; and WHEREAS, he sold this business to Buckingham Strategic Wealth, making sure the individuals he helped could be served for years to come; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of Jeffrey Cohen be appropriately honored. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Jeffrey Cohen, CPA/PFS, for his exemplary service and extend best wishes for his continued success in all future endeavors. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Jeffrey Cohen.
