## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia Senate resolution formally recognizes the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports for its work supporting the state's general aviation airports and industry.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia Senate, not a law that changes any statute. It recognizes the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports (AGGAA), a nonprofit founded in 2021 that promotes the state's 95 general aviation airports, which the resolution says contribute more than $2 billion in economic impact to Georgia.
The resolution describes AGGAA's role in providing education, scholarships, and networking for people in the general aviation industry, and lists its current board members. The Senate resolves to recognize the association's contributions and directs the Secretary of the Senate to send AGGAA a copy of the resolution as a keepsake.

### What it does

- Formally recognizes the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports (AGGAA) on behalf of the Georgia Senate.
- States that Georgia's 95 general aviation airports have an economic impact of more than $2 billion to the state.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to AGGAA.
- Does not create, amend, or repeal any Georgia statute or regulation.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names the Association of Georgia General Aviation Airports and its board members. More broadly it references general aviation airport managers, industry vendors, government employees, and students involved with Georgia's 95 general aviation airports.

### Why it matters

Because this is a ceremonial resolution rather than a change in law, it has no direct legal or regulatory effect on airports, businesses, or residents. Its main practical effect is a formal, public acknowledgment from the Georgia Senate of AGGAA's role in the state's aviation industry.

### Key provisions

- The resolution's whereas clauses state there are 95 general aviation airports in Georgia supporting industries like technology, manufacturing, distribution, tourism, and agriculture.
- It states AGGAA was founded in 2021 as a nonprofit to promote general aviation airports and progressive legislation for airport infrastructure.
- It lists AGGAA's board members, including Chair Amber McCall and others tied to specific Georgia airports.
- The resolved clauses recognize AGGAA's contributions and direct the Secretary of the Senate to provide a copy of the resolution to the association.
