Dixon of the 45th and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Jefferson High School volleyball team for winning the 2024 GHSA 3A
Volleyball State Championship; and other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Jefferson High School volleyball team has established and maintained a
proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and
WHEREAS, harmony, empowerment, appreciation, resilience, and trust (HEART) allowed
this team to seize the moment throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable
2024 campaign, the team claimed victory at the 2024 GHSA 3A Volleyball State
Championship for the first time in school history; and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member as well as the
astute direction of coaches Brittani Lawrence and Drew Lawrence; and
WHEREAS, this team included Jolie Guenther, Mia Jewell, Kaytlin Johnson, Eva Claire
Nelson, Amelia Pilgrim, Reaggan Fidanza, Addison Headley, Brianna Hill, Hannah Howard,
Raegan Lee, Annabelle Pritchard, Kaitlyn Roper, Kate Shepstone, Paola Swancey, and
Reagan Wormley; and
WHEREAS, as this amazing team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and HEART over months of training and competition, it is
abundantly proper to call them champions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Jefferson High School volleyball team for winning the 2024 3A Volleyball
State Championship and extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Jefferson High
School volleyball team.
