4th, Sims of the 12th and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Pierce County girls golf team for winning the GHSA Girls Golf AA State
Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Pierce County girls golf team has demonstrated exceptional skill,
dedication, and teamwork in securing the state championship title; and
WHEREAS, through perseverance, determination, and an unwavering commitment to
excellence, the members of this outstanding team have earned a place in Georgia sports
history; and
WHEREAS, the exemplary performance of the team is a result of the hard work and
guidance of Head Coach Stuart Stipe and Assistant Coach Kim Spivey as well as the
dedication of team members Mackenzie Connell, Mollie Kate Dixon, Chloe Lynn, Belle
Sinclair, and Lily Spivey; and
WHEREAS, Mackenzie Connell and Lily Spivey were named to the GHSA AA All-State
team; and
WHEREAS, Coach Stipe was voted GHSA/NFHS Girls Golf Coach of the Year; and
WHEREAS, this remarkable accomplishment is a source of great pride for the athletes, their
families, their school, and the entire Pierce County community; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding achievements of this
extraordinary team be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Pierce County girls golf team on winning the state championship for the
third consecutive year and commend them for their hard work, perseverance, and
commitment to excellence.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Pierce County
girls golf team.
