WHEREAS, the Brookwood High School boys swim and dive team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and WHEREAS, excellent performance, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured its eighth state championship with a commanding 409-293 lead over its closest competitor, Walton; and WHEREAS, the team was led by Baylor Stanton, who earned individual state titles in the 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke as well as competed on the winning 200-yard medley relay team alongside Ean Silvers, Collin Severtson, and Wyatt Hinson; and WHEREAS, Michael Stanton secured victory in the 500-yard freestyle and joined Thien Nguyen, Noah Silvers, and Wyatt Hinson to claim the state title in the 200-yard freestyle relay; and WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit demonstrated by each member; and WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.
