## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia Senate resolution formally congratulates Dr. Sherell Vicks Crawford, a Lithonia physician, for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award.

### Plain-language summary

This resolution is a ceremonial honor from the Georgia Senate rather than a change to state law. It recognizes Dr. Sherell Vicks Crawford, a physician from Camilla, Georgia, for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award, an honor given each year during Women's History Month by the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus.
The resolution describes Dr. Crawford's medical education at Harvard, Fisk University, and Meharry Medical College, her residency at the Medical College of Georgia, and her career including work at Kaiser Permanente and DeKalb Medical Center before she became president and CEO of Hillandale Medical Associates, PC, in Lithonia since 2001. The Senate directs its Secretary to prepare a copy of the resolution for her.

### What it does

- Recounts her medical education and career history as the basis for the honor.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to Dr. Crawford.
- Does not create, amend, or repeal any Georgia statute; it has no regulatory or budgetary effect.

### Who it affects

The resolution names Dr. Sherell Vicks Crawford directly. It also references the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus and the legacy of former Representative Nikki T. Randall, but it creates no obligations for the public, agencies, or other individuals.

### Why it matters

The resolution has no legal effect on Georgians generally; it is a public, formal acknowledgment by the Georgia Senate of one individual's medical career and community service, intended as an honor rather than a policy change.
