A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Grayson High School football team for winning the 2024 GHSA Class
6A State Football Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Grayson High School football team has established and maintained a proud
tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and
WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of football
competition by posting an outstanding record of 14 wins and only one loss; and
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team
a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable
2024 campaign, the team captured its fourth state football championship; and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the
team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach
Santavious Bryant; and
WHEREAS, this magnificent team performed with precision during the season and earned
its well-deserved reputation for high standards of athletic achievement, the quality of its play,
and the stiff competition it presented to its opponents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Grayson High School football team for winning the 2024 GHSA Class 6A
State Football Championship and extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Grayson High
School football team.
