Senate Resolution 341 By: Senators Brass of the 6th, Jones II of the 22nd, Jackson of the 41st, Goodman of the 8th, Wicks of the 34th and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending the Atlanta Apartment Association upon its 50th anniversary; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the Atlanta Apartment Association has proudly served the State of Georgia since 1975, representing housing providers and professionals in the multifamily housing industry; and WHEREAS, the Association has played a crucial role in ensuring that quality housing remains accessible to all Georgians, providing a vital resource for individuals and families across the state; and WHEREAS, the Association has continually supported efforts to improve the housing industry, from promoting best practices and professional development to advocating for policies that strengthen their communities and the state's economy, driving job creation, and enhancing the quality of life for millions of Georgians; and WHEREAS, the Association has made a lasting impact in fostering safe, affordable, and high-quality housing for the residents of Georgia, and it continues to lead efforts in the housing industry with innovation and integrity; and WHEREAS, the members of the Association have contributed more than 140 million meals to the Atlanta Community Food Bank through its decades-long philanthropic partnership, representing one of the nation's largest annual food drives of its kind; and WHEREAS, the 50th anniversary of the Atlanta Apartment Association provides an opportunity to celebrate the Association's success, acknowledge the invaluable contributions of its members, and recognize their commitment to building and supporting vibrant communities throughout the State of Georgia. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend the Atlanta Apartment Association upon the grand occasion of its 50th anniversary for its many exemplary contributions on behalf of the citizens of this state as well as extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Atlanta Apartment Association.
