Powers, Leisa; condolences ## Text 25 LC 112 3244 Senate Resolution 380 By: Senators Parent of the 44th, Anderson of the 43rd, Harrell of the 40th, Mangham of the 55th, Davenport of the 17th and others A RESOLUTION Honoring the life and memory of Leisa Powers; and for other purposes.1 WHEREAS, the State of Georgia mourns the loss of one of its most distinguished citizens2 with the passing of Leisa Powers; and3 WHEREAS, Leisa Powers was a dedicated community leader who work ed tirelessly to4 support and uplift those around her, leaving a lasting impact o n the City of Decatur and5 playing an integral role in the Decatur Education Foundation; and6 WHEREAS, since the foundation's inception, she worked alongside her husband, Tony, a7 founding board member, to ensure its success and growth, helping to create opportunities for8 children in Decatur to thrive; and9 WHEREAS, in addition to her community involvement, she enjoyed a distinguished10 professional career at Cox Enterprises as a senior manager in HR and benefit systems, where11 she was known for her knowledge, leadership, and ability to create a supportive workplace12 where employees could thrive; and13 S.
