## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia Senate resolution recognizes Diane Munzer Fisher of Gwinnett County for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award for her civic and voting-rights work.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia Senate, not a change to state law. It honors Diane Munzer Fisher, a Gwinnett County civic leader, for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award, an honor given by the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus during Women's History Month.
The resolution describes her work reviving and leading the League of Women Voters of Gwinnett, her service as Director of Voter Registration for the League of Women Voters of Georgia, and her involvement with the Pro Georgia New Americans Workgroup and the Gwinnett Remembrance Coalition. It formally congratulates her and directs the Secretary of the Senate to provide her a copy of the resolution.

### What it does

- Congratulates and commends Diane Munzer Fisher by name for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award.
- Recites her civic record, including reviving the League of Women Voters of Gwinnett in 2018 and serving as its president.
- Notes her roles with the Pro Georgia New Americans Workgroup, the League of Women Voters of Georgia, and the Gwinnett Remembrance Coalition.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to Diane Munzer Fisher.
- Creates no new statute, funding, or legal requirement; it is a symbolic honor with no regulatory effect.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names and honors Diane Munzer Fisher. It also references the Georgia Legislative Women's Caucus, the League of Women Voters of Gwinnett and of Georgia, the Pro Georgia New Americans Workgroup, and the Gwinnett Remembrance Coalition, but imposes no obligations on any of them.

### Why it matters

The resolution has no legal effect and changes no Georgia law; its practical impact is limited to a formal, public statement of recognition from the Senate and a commemorative copy given to Fisher for her voter engagement and civic work.

### Key provisions

- The whereas clauses describe the history of the Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leader Award, named for former Representative Nikki T. Randall.
- The resolved clause formally congratulates and commends Diane Munzer Fisher for receiving the 2025 award.
