A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates on the occasion of its 30th anniversary; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) has faithfully served the children and families of Atlanta for 30 years, advocating for the best interests of children who have experienced abuse or neglect; and

WHEREAS, since its founding in 1995, Atlanta CASA has worked tirelessly to ensure that every child in foster care has a safe, permanent, and loving home, leveraging the dedication of trained volunteer advocates to provide critical support and guidance; and

WHEREAS, Atlanta CASA has positively impacted the lives of thousands of children, empowering them to thrive through advocacy, mentorship, and compassionate service; and

WHEREAS, the organization has strengthened communities by collaborating with local agencies, courts, and stakeholders to enhance child welfare outcomes, promoting a future where every child has a voice and the opportunity to succeed; and

WHEREAS, the volunteers, staff, and supporters of Atlanta CASA have demonstrated unwavering commitment to the well-being of vulnerable youth, exemplifying the spirit of service and advocacy that defines the great State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, on this milestone anniversary, it is fitting and proper to honor Atlanta CASA for its legacy of impact and its continued dedication to the children and families of Atlanta.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, express profound gratitude for its invaluable service, and extend best wishes for continued success in its mission to advocate for Atlanta's most vulnerable children.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Atlanta Court Appointed Special Advocates.
